VANTA Membership Handbook
Effective January 2026 | Subject to Change
Note from The Key Council
"VANTA was created with intention as a private environment for thoughtful connection, quiet exchange, and long-term relationships.
The Club is not defined by scale or visibility, but by the quality of its members, the discretion of its culture, and the trust that exists within its walls.
This Handbook exists to provide clarity on how the Club operates and what membership entails. It is not intended to be exhaustive, nor prescriptive in every circumstance. Much of what defines VANTA is guided by judgement, mutual respect, and an understanding that membership is a shared responsibility.
We ask Members to approach the Club in the spirit in which it was created; with consideration for others, respect for privacy, and an appreciation for the collective nature of the space. Membership at VANTA is not static and is reviewed over time in the context of alignment, conduct, and contribution to the Club.
Welcome to VANTA."
The Key Council
Members’ Charter
Membership at VANTA is defined not only by access, but by presence.
The Club is built on discretion, mutual respect, and an understanding that influence is best exercised quietly. Members are expected to engage with one another, with staff, and with the space itself in a manner that reflects consideration, restraint, and awareness of the wider community.
VANTA values substance over display, judgement over entitlement, and long-term relationships over transactional interaction. The way Members conduct themselves within the Club, and in contexts connected to it, contributes directly to the culture that others experience.
This Charter is not a list of rules, but a shared understanding. Where matters of judgement arise, the Company and the General Manager retain discretion to interpret and protect the spirit of the Club in the interests of its Members.
1. The Club
VANTA is a private members’ club owned and operated by 2A Entertainment Pte. Ltd. (the “Company”). The Club operates as a proprietary club and is governed by this Membership Handbook (the “Handbook”).
The Club is currently located at MacDonald House, 40A Orchard Road, #01-01, Singapore 238838, or such other premises as the Company may designate from time to time.
This Handbook applies to all Members and their guests. Entry to, and use of, the Club constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Purpose, Positioning & Culture
VANTA is conceived as a private environment for individuals who operate at the intersection of culture, capital, and long-term influence. The Club is not positioned as a venue of scale, publicity, or volume, but as a considered social infrastructure designed to support meaningful relationships, thoughtful exchange, and continuity.
Membership at VANTA is extended selectively and is grounded in trust, discretion, and alignment with the Club’s values. Members are expected to contribute positively to the culture of the Club through conduct, judgement, and respect for others.
The Club reserves the right to protect this environment at all times. Use of the Club is a privilege that may be reviewed if a Member’s presence or behaviour is deemed inconsistent with the ethos or long-term interests of VANTA.
In practice, this culture is reflected in how Members engage with one another, how spaces are used, and the consideration shown to staff, guests, and the wider community of the Club.
3. Membership Structure
Membership of the Club confers access to the Club’s facilities, services, and privileges in accordance with this Handbook. Membership does not grant any proprietary, ownership, or beneficial interest in the Club, its premises, assets, intellectual property, or operations.
3.1 Categories of Membership
The Club recognises the following categories:
• Blue Key Members – Members elected by the Key Council, enjoying privileges as defined in the Membership Overview.
• Black Key Members – A capped category of up to 50 Members, elected by the Key Council, with extended privileges.
• Founding Members – Elected Blue Key Members granted Founding-specific privileges.
• Spousal Members – Spouses of Blue Key Members, as declared at application.
• Corporate Members – Corporate memberships with up to two (2) designated representatives.
• Overseas Members – Overseas Members are ordinarily resident outside Singapore and spend no more than 90 days per calendar year in Singapore. Overseas Membership is limited to a maximum of twelve (12) visits to the Club per calendar year. Fees and conditions for this category are set by the Company and Key Council.
• Honorary Members – Individuals invited by the Key Council in recognition of their standing or relationship with the Club. In the case of ambassadors, members of royal households, or other official personages, invitations may be extended or maintained in accordance with customary protocol, as determined by the Company.
3.2 Interpretation
Unless the context requires otherwise, references to Blue Key Members include Founding, Spousal, Corporate, and any future categories determined by the Company and Key Council.
3.3 Amendments
Membership categories, conditions, and privileges may be amended or expanded from time to time, with notice provided in accordance with this Handbook.
The sections that follow set out how membership is applied in practice, including the processes for admission, fees, and ongoing participation in the Club.
4. Key Council
The Key Council exists to support the stewardship of the Club and to uphold its long-term culture, standards, and composition. Its role includes, but is not limited to, matters relating to membership election, review, and the evolution of the Club in alignment with its values.
The Key Council acts in an advisory and decision-making capacity as determined by the Company. Its involvement is intended to ensure that judgement, discretion, and continuity remain central to the governance of the Club.
Decisions of the Key Council require approval by not less than 75% of its members. Votes must be cast within 72 hours of circulation. Failure to vote within this period is deemed a vote in favour of the proposal.
5. Admission, Vetting & Election
Admission to VANTA is by invitation or proposal only and is subject to a structured review process overseen by the Key Council, with final consent of the Company. Membership is granted entirely at the discretion of the Club and confers no entitlement or expectation of permanence.
A prospective Member may be proposed by an existing Member or by an authorised representative of the Company. Proposals may be withdrawn at any stage at the request of the Key Council.
The Club may require prospective Members to:
• Attend meetings or interviews with representatives of the Club or Key Council
• Provide additional background information or supporting documentation
• Allow for informal reference checks within the Club’s trusted network
The Key Council may decline any application without providing reasons. Where an application is unsuccessful, the applicant will not normally be reconsidered for a minimum period of one year unless otherwise determined by the Company.
Successful applicants will be notified in writing. Membership becomes effective only upon full settlement of applicable fees.
6. Fees, Charges & Payments
Membership becomes effective only upon full payment of applicable joining and subscription fees.
The annual membership fee grants access and membership privileges only and does not include any food and beverage credits. Unless expressly stated otherwise, there are no additional monthly membership fees payable beyond the annual fee.
• Pre-opening memberships commence upon first use of the Club, provided that such first use occurs within ninety (90) days of the Club’s official opening date. Where a pre-opening membership is not utilised within this period, the Company reserves the right to deem the membership as having commenced at the end of the ninety (90) day period or otherwise review the status of the membership at its discretion.
• Post-opening memberships commence upon receipt of fees.
Membership fees must be paid within the stipulated time, failing which the election may lapse.
The Company may adjust fees annually and may apply late payment charges or reinstatement fees.
Membership cards remain Club property, are non-transferable, and must be reported if lost. Replacement fees apply.
Members are responsible for all charges incurred by themselves and their guests.
If the Company formally declares that the Club will not open or commence operations, all membership fees paid shall be refunded within ninety (90) days of written request.
7. Renewal, Review, Suspension & Termination
Temporary Suspension (Relocation)
Where a Member is temporarily relocating outside Singapore for personal or professional reasons, the Company may, upon written request, permit a temporary suspension of membership. Such suspension is granted at the discretion of the Company and is intended to accommodate short- to medium-term absences rather than permanent relocation.
During a period of approved suspension:
• Membership privileges and access to the Club are paused
• No food, beverage, or guest privileges may be exercised
• Membership fees may be deferred or adjusted on a pro-rated basis, as determined by the Company
Temporary suspensions are ordinarily granted for a minimum period of three (3) months and a maximum period of twelve (12) months, unless otherwise approved. At the conclusion of the suspension period, membership will automatically resume unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
The Company reserves the right to limit the frequency and duration of suspensions and to decline requests where suspension is inconsistent with the nature of the membership category or the interests of the Club.
Memberships renew automatically on an annual basis unless written notice of termination is received by the Company at least thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date.
The Club reserves the right to review membership at any time. Membership may be suspended or terminated by the Company and/or the Key Council if, in their reasonable opinion, a Member’s conduct:
• Undermines the culture, reputation, or interests of the Club
• Breaches the rules set out in this Handbook
• Causes discomfort, disruption, or reputational risk to other Members, staff, or the Club
• Occurs either within or outside the Club environment
Before termination, the Member will ordinarily be given an opportunity to respond to the matters raised. Following review, the Company may determine suspension or termination at its discretion.
Upon termination, all outstanding amounts become immediately due and payable, membership privileges cease with immediate effect, and the Membership Card must be returned. Membership fees are non-refundable.
Memberships are not transferable and may not be refunded, except in the event of death, where a transfer to an immediate family member may be considered at the Company’s discretion.
8. Access, Hours & Facilities
This section provides practical guidance on the everyday use of the Club, including access, operating hours, and the appropriate use of facilities, to help ensure a considered and consistent experience for all Members.
The Club generally operates daily from 11:00 to 24:00, with the potential for extended operating hours subject to licensing conditions, regulatory approvals, and operational requirements.
The Company may restrict access to the Club or any of its facilities from time to time, including for private events, maintenance, or special circumstances. Members will be notified where reasonably practicable.
Non-public areas, including operational, kitchen, and staff-only spaces, are strictly restricted unless prior consent is granted by the Company.
Children & Minors
Children under the age of eighteen (18) are permitted in the Club only on Saturdays and Sundays, and strictly subject to the nature of activities and events taking place on those days.
All minors must exit the Club no later than 16:00. The Club reserves the right to restrict or prohibit access by minors on any given day if ongoing events, programming, or operational considerations render such access inappropriate.
Parents or guardians remain fully responsible for the supervision, conduct, and safety of minors at all times while on Club premises
9. Guests
Members may host up to five (5) guests at any one time, subject to Club capacity and discretion.
Guest allowances for Black Key Members and Corporate Members may differ and are determined in accordance with the privileges applicable to each membership category, as set out in the Membership Overview or otherwise communicated by the Club from time to time.
Members are responsible for their guests’ conduct and expenses. Guests must be accompanied and may not introduce further guests.
Certain individuals may be restricted from entry, including former expelled Members, rejected applicants, and minors.
10. Conduct, Discretion & Dress
VANTA operates on the principle of mutual respect, discretion, and self-regulation. Members and their guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the values and atmosphere of the Club at all times. This expectation extends to how Members speak to one another and to staff, whether in person within the Club or through any Club-managed communication channels, including the Club’s mobile application.
The Club reserves the right to refuse entry or request departure of any Member or guest where behaviour, appearance, or conduct is deemed inappropriate or disruptive, without obligation to provide justification.
The following standards apply:
• Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and unlawful activity are strictly prohibited
• Excessive intoxication, disorderly conduct, or vulgar behaviour will not be tolerated
• Gambling, wagering, or games of chance are not permitted
Members are expected to dress with care and intention. The Club does not impose uniformity, but requires attire appropriate to a refined private setting.
As a general guide, gentlemen are expected to wear smart trousers or tailored attire, paired with a smart T-shirt or collared or buttoned shirt, and closed-toe footwear. Ladies are expected to dress to a comparable standard, in keeping with the tone and environment of the Club.
Attire that is overtly casual or unsuitable for a private club setting, including but not limited to sportswear, gym attire, tank tops, or flip-flops, may be refused entry or result in a request to depart.
The Reception Desk retains full discretion regarding entry and continued presence.
Mobile phones and electronic devices must be kept on silent. The Club may require devices to be put away after 18:00, except in designated areas.
Photography, videography, or recording of any kind is not permitted in public areas of the Club without prior approval. Members are expected to actively protect the privacy of others.
11. Bookings, Events & Use of Spaces
Certain facilities, rooms, and services within the Club require advance booking and are subject to availability and operational considerations. A limited number of tables will be reserved for walk-in Members on a daily basis; however, Members are encouraged to make reservations in advance where time permits to ensure availability.
To ensure fair access for all Members, the Club monitors booking attendance. Where a Member records three (3) no-shows for confirmed bookings within a twelve (12) month period, the Club reserves the right to suspend that Member’s ability to make further reservations for a period of one (1) month.
Reservations & Private Rooms
Bookings for private rooms and designated spaces must be made in advance via the Club’s reservation team or through the Club’s official website or mobile application. Walk-in use of private rooms is not guaranteed and remains at the discretion of the Club. Use of private rooms may also be subject to applicable minimum food and beverage spend requirements, which will be communicated by the Club from time to time.
Events & Club Hire
All event enquiries, including private events and special programming, must be directed to events@vantamembers.com or through the Club’s mobile application.
Requests to book out the entire Club may only be made by Members and will be considered only in exceptional circumstances and on a case-by-case basis. As a guiding principle, the Club seeks to preserve regular access for Members and therefore does not routinely permit full Club closures for private hire.
Approval of any event, including partial or full use of Club spaces, remains at the sole discretion of the Company.
Cigar Room
• Usage of the Cigar room is subject to availability. Advance reservations are encouraged to avoid disappointment.
• Reservation durations are determined by the Club and may vary depending on demand, availability, and operational considerations
• Each Member may host a maximum of three (3) non-Members per booking
• All non-Members are subject to a sitting fee, details of which will be confirmed and published prior to the Club’s opening
• A cigar cutting fee may apply for cigars brought into or consumed within the Cigar Room, the amount of which will be determined and communicated by the Club from time to time
The Club reserves the right to amend booking rules, capacities, and applicable charges at any time.
Golf Simulator
• Usage of the Golf Simulator is subject to availability. Advance reservations are encouraged to avoid disappointment.
• Reservation durations are determined by the Club and may vary depending on demand, availability, and operational considerations

• The applicable minimum spend will be confirmed and published prior to the Club’s opening
The Club reserves the right to amend booking durations, minimum spend requirements, and availability at its discretion.
12. Benefits, Partnerships & Privileges
From time to time, the Club may extend additional benefits, reciprocal privileges, or curated partnerships to Members. These may include, without limitation, access to partner venues, preferred rates, invitations to private experiences, or priority access to select cultural, dining, wellness, or lifestyle offerings.
The Club may facilitate reciprocal club access through selected international networks from time to time. Access to reciprocal clubs is subject to availability, local club policies, and prior approval.
Members interested in reciprocal access should speak directly with their assigned Membership Curator for current arrangements and eligibility.
The Club may also introduce travel, hospitality, and lifestyle partnerships from time to time. Where applicable, such partnerships may include preferred arrangements with airline, hotel, or F&B partners. Members seeking further information on these partnerships should email the Concierge team at concierge@vantamembers.com
All benefits and partnerships are extended at the discretion of the Company and may be introduced, amended, suspended, or withdrawn without notice. Access to benefits, reciprocal arrangements, bookings, and privileges is subject to a Member remaining in good standing at all times, including compliance with this Handbook, timely settlement of all dues, and conduct consistent with the values and expectations of the Club. Details of current benefits, partnerships, and reciprocal arrangements will be published and updated via the Club’s official website and Members’ mobile application in the coming months.
13. Privacy, Confidentiality & Data
Privacy is fundamental to the operation of VANTA. All personal information disclosed to the Club by Members or their guests is treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Club’s Privacy Policy.
Members and guests may not disclose, discuss, identify, or reference other Members, guests, or events observed within the Club, whether in conversation, print, or digital media, without the express prior written consent of the Club and all affected parties.
The Club operates CCTV systems in compliance with applicable regulations. Recorded footage is retained for a limited period in accordance with law and internal policy.
Use of social media in connection with the Club must always respect the privacy, anonymity, and discretion of other Members. The Club’s name, address, or identity may not be used for business, promotional, or commercial purposes without written approval.
14. Property & Intellectual Rights
Club property may not be removed. Use of the Club’s name, marks, or identity requires written approval.
15. Food, Beverage & Corkage
Food and beverages purchased outside the Club may not be consumed on the premises unless corkage has been paid or waived in accordance with Club policy.
The sale and service of alcohol within the Club are permitted only within the scope of the Club’s liquor licence and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Corkage
The introduction of outside alcoholic beverages may be restricted for certain events designated as no-outside-beverage (NOB) events. Where permitted, corkage terms and fees will be published prior to opening or otherwise communicated by the Club.
16. Complaints & Staff Relations
Concerns should be addressed to the General Manager. Members may not direct, discipline, or instruct staff.
17. Continuity and Cessation
The Company operates the Club with the intention of long-term continuity and stewardship.
However, the Company reserves the right to cease operations of the Club at its discretion, including in circumstances where continuation is no longer commercially, operationally, or legally viable.
In the event that the Club ceases operations, membership privileges will terminate accordingly.
Members acknowledge that membership confers access and usage rights only and does not grant any ownership interest in the Club, its premises, assets, or intellectual property. Any remaining assets of the Club, after satisfaction of liabilities, shall vest in the Company or be otherwise applied at the Company’s discretion.
18. General Provisions
18.1 Interpretation
The headings and section titles in this Handbook are included for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of its provisions. Words importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa, and references to any gender shall include all genders.
18.2 Amendments and Updates
The Company may amend, supplement, or update this Handbook from time to time to reflect operational, regulatory, or organisational changes. Where practicable, Members will be informed of material updates through the Club’s official website, Members’ application, or other customary Club communications.
Continued use of the Club following such updates shall be deemed acceptance of the revised terms.
18.3 Enforceability, Responsibility and Risk
If any provision of this Handbook is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, such provision shall be adjusted or disregarded to the extent necessary, without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Members and their guests use the Club and its facilities at their own discretion and risk. While the Club endeavours to maintain a safe, well-managed environment, it shall not be responsible for loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from ordinary use of the premises or participation in Club activities, except where such responsibility cannot be excluded under applicable law.
